LEAN TOGETHER: Lean Six Sigma with a People and Culture Focus.

Connect theoretical learnings with real-life project work and project coaching. The intent is that every learner will be able to create a project charter that outlines a real-life work problem that they are able to solve and apply lean methodologies to outline improvements while putting controls in place to ensure sustainability.

 

Pre-Work: Intro to DMAIC

Module 1: Overview of Lean Six Sigma

Module 2: Understanding People in Process Improvement

Module 3: Cultural Impact on Continuous Improvement

Module 4: Lean Six Sigma Tools for People-Centric Improvement

Module 5: Integrating Diversity & Inclusion into Lean Six Sigma Projects

Final Course Self-Assessment for additional qualitative/quantitative measures.

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt

This 10 week Hybrid course provides learners with the tools, techniques and methodologies that will empower them to lead Lean Six Sigma projects in their organizations. Learners understand the problem-solving framework for improving processes — Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control (DMAIC) — and also receive instruction in the tools for streamlining production and services from end to end.

You will be well-versed in the knowledge and skills you need to successfully lead a Green Belt-level project to reduce or eliminate waste, lower defects in your organization’s products and processes, and improve customer satisfaction.

Estimated overall Time Commitment:

Learners will be required to participate in 3 in person Project Coaching Sessions scheduled over the 10-week course.

There will be 9 optional Group Project Coaching sessions "Coffee Connect" on most Fridays.

On Demand Curriculum/Knowledge Checks: 1-1.5 hours weekly.

Weekly Reading/Independent Study: 5 hours weekly.

Project Time with employer: 3 hours weekly.

Participants must complete a Green Belt Project and pass a *Final Exam at the completion of the course.

*One retake will be allowed, but must be completed by June 15, 2025.
